At idle and when i shut the car off no matter how i drive it, i get a rich smelling exhaust smell. ANyone have this problem. Its a 99ls1. The car also feels sluggish down low. No codes or anything. What can this be EGR? CAT? Thanks for any help.

ive heard that it could be the cats getting hot. really hot cats kinda smell like rotten eggs.lol

After you have driven your car, look under there and see if your cats are glowing red. If so, then replaced those things, they are clogged.

my 99 does the same thing. and smoke comes from my exhaust for 1-2 minutes after i shut the car off.
