I'm thinking about getting this white TA, but the taillight housing seems to be about 3/4 inch too high, and makes a clank when lowered. Any ideas if its fixable?

That gap can be adjusted, not sure what's causing that clamp sound though.

Mine make that noise, it's the lever hitting the metal stopper on the body. I would assume you could put something on the stop point to stop the clunk.
Come to think of it that is also probably why the headlight goes too far up. The stopper on the body for the lever is probably a little out of position causing the clunk and the headlight to raise higher. I can not remember if the stop point is on the assembly or on the radiator support though
