Pontiac G8 2008-2010 - Cam or Torque Converter/Camaro Diff? Which one??

I'm leaning more toward the converter/gear swap. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm estimating a cam swap will be about $1500. I think a gear/torque converter will cost close to the same. In terms of 1/4 mile performance I also think the gear/converter is the best bang for the buck.

Thoughts/opinions????

these cars have very good heads so depending on the cam you pick. the cam could give you faster times. however the stall will def give a lot of performance. I suggest getting the DOD stuff out and doing the cam first before they fail and possibly break other stuff. thats my opinion so best luck to you but ether route will be fun

I need to drive a 6A Camaro. I really feel in the distant future there will be some sort of F.I. The 3.27 gears would be nice for that or maybe a large cube stroker. Thanks for the help...

Too much gear and you wont have traction especially supercharged

I would do the converter and gears first. If you go with a big cam you will need them anyway. I put a fairly large cam in my G8 and it pushed the brakes so bad I had to get a converter.

How much for the 3.27 and is it LSD?

pm sent. i think all ss/rs camaro's are lsd? both of these came out of V8 cars 1 is a L99 the other is a M6.

As long as its not a V6 car then it will have LSD.
