Im a diehard camaro fan. But I always wanted a Mustang cobra. Im currently looking for a '96-'98 cobra. Love that body style even though its not a '03-04 cobra. Question is should I put 6,000 in my 99 camaro ss fresh motor or purchased a sn95 SVT cobra. My car now is perfect it has bolts on '9inch etc. Everything but h/c.

Are you talking about selling the Camaro for a....cough, cough, cough...Mustang? BOOOOOOO!! Not so sure the Camaro specific forum will yield great results with what you are asking. Unless you put a LSx into the Cobra!!
Why would you have to put 6k into the SS? Does the whole car need a lot of work?

I was in the same boat a couple months ago. i was thinking about getting rid of my car. I decided to keep it because I cant get crap for it, trade in was $5000. You can get a fun car like a camaro for $5000 so I kept it. I am rebuilding the car now as we speak, new cam and heads, bottom end rebuilt.

phew.....on keeping the Camaro. I think if you just got married, and your wife is cool with you getting another sports car, then you better jump on it bro! Trust me, the longer you wait, the harder it is to convince. LOL

Saying you're a die-hard Camaro guy yet you're *seriously* considering a Mustang purchase is essentially an oxymoron. I'm not saying Camaro people can't like or own Mustangs, but if this were me, I'd work on the Camaro, get rid of your two junk DD's and buy a clean, newer DD.

all i have to say is yuck....with that out of the way, if you really want it, buy it. different strokes for different folks. my wife came from a ford family and races a ford chassis on a dirt track. and i have owned 3 ford's in my lifetime(never a mustang though, 2 f150's and a tempo). you would be better off spending the 6k on your current camaro in my book, then have fun destroying even the baddest terminator cobra. i love flashing my tailights to the ponies.
