dad brings this red gt-500 with only 80 miles on it. i grab the keys and hurry outside to take it for a spin ( He doesn't care), then he follows me and tells me i couldn't handle it so i walked away, because it being a $50k car, i don't need to wrap it around a pole. So we talk about it, and he's like "I ran into this modified C6 z06 on the way home..", "and?", "he tore me into 3 damn peices". so i started laughing at him, and reminded him when we beat one from a high roll. So i asked if he thought it was faster than the z06, and he said he has no idea. Probably going to line both up tomorrow when we are free.

he should have waited untill 2013, but the 2012 gt500 is a killer ride, once h does a few lil mods those cars are pretty sick

lol no ****** gt500 is even gonna spin over 60 mph, when i was working at ford i took one out to gas it up, got on it at 60 with cold tires 3rd gear and couldnt even spin lol, maybe if i was in second but i think second only hits 65 mph or so.

Not gunna happen. Maybe he was floating due to suspension issues, but he wasn't fishtailing at 100.

He didn't say he was spinning at 100, he said it was fishtailing. Hell my mazes 6 fishtails at 100.

I know the newer ones have more power and less weight. I drove a 08 GT 500 and just not impressed at all. Does not at all feel like a 500hp car and a LS3 vette feels much faster if not is faster. I feel with the 2011-2012 they started going in the right direction with less weight and more power and the 2013 model just being a monster now.
