a stock lq4 unless it's an early model will have aluminum 317s stock.
yea, stock power is ~300/360 flywheel. so 230-250/300-330 at the wheels.
can't speak to what cam you'll need. Stock comperssion on these motors is 9.5, pretty low, but 350whp isn't impossible.. I doubt you have to get TOO aggressive to get there.

I would look into a 228 cam from TSP or Thunder Racing. They are designed for LS1 cubes, however work well in a stockish 6.0 as well. I have also heard people getting good results from the Torquer series of cams. They are quite a bit more agressive than the 228 cams, but provide good low to mid range power, as well as decent peak power. the down side is they require good dual springs and more frequent valve spring changes.

Keep the ideas coming guys
I'll check the hot cam out also!

Look at the GM ASA cam, or something like a 224/230. Keep it under .600" lift and your valve springs will last a lot longer. If your staying fuel injected I'd go for around a 110, but carbed maybe as tight as 108.
With a few more cubes over the 346 a cam that was a mid range will bring the power in quicker and act like a slightly smaller cam in the 6.0

The hotcams are garbage i had one and didnt gain any time in my camaro I made 400 on. 6.0 with l92/ls3 intake and just headers with a lunati voodoo 60512 o believe that or the 60511 would do. And they sound awesome.

If you used a hot cam designed for an ls1 with ls1 heads, that is probably why it didn't perform for you. The square port heads require more split to work well.
The hot cam is a proven cam time and time again in otherwise stock ls1's for the money. They Are also very easy on the valve train.
I also agree about the ASA cam, it's a little more duration than the ls6 but I think the lift numbers are the same or very close. It can also be used with yellow ls6 springs.
