LS4 Performance - Cracked dash pad? (2007 GXP)

Hey guys,
I store my 07 GXP for the winter and the other day I was checking on it and
when I was sitting in the drivers seat I noticed the dash pad was craked by the HUD
projector. It was not this way when I parked it, I know because I cleaned and sealed
all plastic interior components. Have there been issues with stress cracks?

Thanks for any info, I did a couple searchs but came up with nothing.....

PS. I love driving this car!

Haven't read about anyone having this issue while the car is stored. Anything's possible though. Where do you store it? Is it heated storage? Seems odd that it would just crack with no apparent stress.

The trans-ams tend to do this a lot never heard of one of ours doing it though.

My bonnevilles dash is made of the same material as this dash , it has cracked quite bad since i got it , i clean and condition it , i think it has somethinv to do with how the previous owner treated it.

Right now the car is stored outside in my driveway and there is no signs that anybody has been messing with the car.
Also I do in the summer and even now use sun reflectors in both front and rear windows. The crack is not to bad hopefully
it does not spread if it does I will for sure replace it for sure.
Just to add something positive the car has been great so no problems and a real joy to drive.
Its a great balance of sport and luxury for a DD in the no salt months!

Mine is cracked pretty bad I'm guessing from the heat

the plastic bezel on my GF's GXP is cracked also.

Mine is broke.. Bought a new one. Have yet to put it in though. Friend of mine also had his crack in his GP Comp G. Seems to be popular

How much was the new one?

I'm not sure.. $65 I think. I'll post the part number and price tomorrow
