Default Tough Brush-On Paint

Hey guys, so I'm getting ready to do my spring/shock/rotor swap this weekend. My plan is paint black all the old suspension hardware and miscellaneous things in the wheel wells. Chances are everything has surface rust that I'll have to grind off. I want to use a brush on paint thats rust resistant and really tough. I want to use a brush because it will be a lot easier to paint what I want rather than just spraying. So what would be a good tough brush on paint to use?

Make sure you spend some time prepping. I've found that POR-15 will flake if the surface underneath isn't prepped. POR provides marine clean and metal ready. Follow the directions, and it should work out well. You may also want to top coat it with some hard nose paint, as POR-15 can fade.

I did mine with Rustoleum Hammertone Black rattle cans, and then used caliper clear coat on it. It turned out good, you just have to spend some time cleaning the parts. I didn't get the surface rust off, I just used a brass bristle brush with some simple green, hosed it off, and used some acetone to make sure there was no grease/dirt on the parts

It's a two step paint that has a hardner. POR sells it. You can use it over top por-15, and it should be super strong.

I get it straight from their website. I also have used Rust Bullet Automotive Paint, which is silver.
