Just ordered new 1 7/8 tsp long tubes
I saw today that they were finally in and ordered the long tubes and ORY for my 02 z28. I will keep everyone up to date to see about any fitmit issues. I will take tons of pictures of the install... Hopefully everything will go smoothly!

I read about some people having that problem... mine fit like a charm, and I did NOT change MM's. (the ones in the car looked great from what I could tell but I didn't have to remove them to install the headers so I left em alone, I'm guessing they've been changed before)

i loosened the mounts and jacked the motor up to see it that would help but it didnt... looks like it could be something wrong with the angle on the flange....i took it back off for now... debating on what i should do next... pass side fits like a charm

... and what's this about a flange? the TSP's are a slip-fit.. are you talking about where it bolts to the head? There may be room for a touch of adjustment there but not much for sure..

yea i tightened everything down and it got worse. yea im talking about the flange that bolts to the head. i have a lot of room on one side and nothing on the other... that is my best guess

You will likely be able to adjust the setup by heating and pinching, depending on where it is hitting. I would suspect your motor mounts are a little worn though, poly up next time. Does it hit only when you get on it?.....

Oh I see where you're at now. Ya, get your fitment issues sorted out now before the banging. That is a quality product you are working with, but you have to keep in mind that sometimes things get old (motor mounts etc) and things may need some tweaking. You're gonna be in love as soon as you get all that ironed out and start it up. You shouldn't need to touch the k member. On a side note, any reason why you didn't go with the 1 3/4" set?

Why go with the 1 3/4" set? It's been proven too many times the 1 7/8" gain more power.
Anyways, I had to shave just a bit off my K on the driver's side. And I mean just a bit. No big deal, really. 2 minutes with a grinder. I think it was either the #7 or #5 primary.
