So I am chilling with some buddies at a local hang out tonight. There is another 5.0, a SRT4, a 370z(Buddy with Z06 was driving his friends car) and me. Sitting there talking and a new Charger SRT8 rolls by and revs his engine. So my buddy who owns the Z06 jump in after him. I had just taken him for a ride. He was impressed and said no doubt I could take his stock Z06. Any way we catch up with the Charger about block up the road at a red light. I return the rev and he rolls window. And all cocky say you sure it has enough. I luagh and say are you. SO we take off kinda easy and get up to about 40 and he all sudden punches it. I was in second and follow suite with a little lag form the centri blower do to being in kinda low rpms. By 65ish I have caught back up and have about half a car on him. By 90 I am about 2.5 cars out and by 120 I am about 4 cars or so. We got into it agian but got out as a car turns in front of us about a block ahead. So soon we get around him caught at a red light I want to do a dig but he don't seem down but this time I am ready for him to just punch it. We take off easy me starting in 1st. About 20mph he nails it and soon I see his nose lift I punch it. This time it is straight pull. By 120 I am about 7-8 cars out if not a little more. Then I hit the brakes. What does he do? Yep ricer flyby and never slows down. My buddy starts laughing and says I think you pissed him off. SO we turn around and head back to car wash and tekll every one what happen. We was hoping he would pull over so we could get him to run the other 5.0 that is only has an o/r x pipe. But oh well I geuss.


Not sure on mod but from watching some video's on you tube and here that nightrider post it sounds like might had a catback at most. It sounded pretty good. It was faster then the new SS I ran i could tell that easily. Not as fast as the GT500 I ran. Haven't raced a 5.0 that was stock but from way it done I would say it will take a base 3.73 manual car with a very good driver to even try to put up a fight on a roll. Wish he would have went from a dig though. My DR's was stocking with no issues.

Nice kill. The 392's are stout but with your mods, the outcome is not controversial.

YA I knew I would take him but least one finally would play. I do think stock on stock from a roll it will take a 5.0/SS. As said only way the 5.0 has a chance is a base model manual with 3.73 gears and a very great driver. Tune in the 5.0 should pull slightly still needing a good driver. It seemed pretty stout for being stock or least basically stock.

Paxton SC with 10lbs boost/Boss intake/Off road x pipe big fat DR's. Car made 620whp before off road x pipe and shifting at 6850. It now turns 7400 rpms. New dyno will come sunday.

Good kill!! Glad to see your giving it sum props. No doubt it never stood a chance. The most it could have done to it at this time is mild bolts ons. No tuning for them yet so NO ONE is able to get crazy with them...

Ya I am tracking it has no tuning. I really don't think it had more then a catback if anything. Sounded good though.

wow man, honestly I was expecting it to get wiped off the road. Instead it sounds like it did respectable for a stock or near stock car.

Hell, the more I think about it the more I'm thinking dude might have been spraying you with a small shot.

Never know around here. Every one mods fast if they want to run them. I had my temp tags still on my car and people tried to race me not knowing I had a blower and stuff on it. I know some guys with other cars that have done the same.

But pulling 8 cars or so is an *** whipping really. Specially when i let off it. If I would have kept in it would have got worse. I have a little spin in lst gear but not a not.

As said I do think it was faster then a stock SS/5.0 for sure. Be it was stock or not.

Yes i did a couple weeks ago. I am going to be in Boerne next weekend. i am going to try and get away and shoot over to SAR to run again with the changes. My dyno day sunday has been cancelled cause of weather.
