Default SLP Dual/Dual vs. LM1 & Custom Tip Idea's

So currently my 00 SS has an SLP Dual/Dual that its had its entire life. I'm looking to change things up and was thinking about going with an LM1. Here are my questions.

1) Performance wise is there a difference?
(I cut off my Dual/Dual to see how it sounds without a muffler and I felt as if it lost some power, but it did sound pretty good)

2) Where should I cut off the Dual/Dual to put the LM1?

3) Can I run it without putting tips all the way to the back? Although I've heard if I dumped it, it would just be annoying loud.

4) Does anyone have any pics of custom exhaust tip setups?

I was thinking of running the LM1 before the axle and then putting just a single 3" to 4" slant tip aiming out the passenger side before the rear tire. Or will this just look retarded? Help me come up with what I should do.

*Right now I am running stock manifolds and my stock catted Y. But in about a month I will be putting on my FLP Headers and Catted FLP Y.

Thanks for any and all input.
