im looking to buy some rods i have a stock crank and mahle forged pistons. i know stock rod length is 6.125 but the only I beams i can find is 6.100. and ive heard H beams may have clearance issues but they are 6.125. i would rather have I beams but cant find the right length. help!

Stock rod length is actually 6.098", not 6.125". Neither H or I beam rods will have clearance issues with the stock crank.

What are your power goals? Stock rods can handle a lot more than most people want to make.

your going to need aftermarket rods then, the stock rods would probably hold up, but having the .927 wrist pin as opposed to the stock .945, you dont have much of a choice. I had the same problem. I wanted to use stock rods with my forged pistons, but my pistons have floating .927 pins, so i broke down and bought scat I beams. dont really need them, but it has the pin boss i need and i guess if nothing else, its extra insurance.

FWIW

these are the rods I ended up buying. for less than 300 shipped, I couldnt pass it up.
