Default Belt slip on Maggie

Im hoping to hear from some Maggie people that have had this issue
Is this curable with a different brand belt ? I can't tell which brand belt I have (it came with the blower stock).
After waiting to get the tune finalized because of clutch slip issues .... Now I have belt slip issues. We just installed a twin disc clutch to hold the torque and now the highly anticipated Dyno day .... Only to find that my HP & TQ take a dive at exactly 5800 rpm. On the street I can watch my boost gauge drop from 7lbs down to a fluttering 4 -5 lbs or so.
I would like to hear that a magic belt will fix the problem. Rather than a change to an 8 rib system etc..
Thanks in advance for the help.
FYI: I have a 2.9" pulley @ 7 lbs.

Look at the gates dayco fleet runner belt. You just add "HD" to the end of your normal dayco belt for the fleet runner. They are ugly GREEN but they are the best you can get.
Hope that helps.

I did just change the tension pulley. Maybe it has something to do with it.

Adding a set of dayco 101mm idler pullies will help belt wrap.

I also run a Dayco belt, works great, i have a 2.6 pulley and IW overdriven balancer, I do get a little belt slip at the very top end but with what the truck runs/makes im happy

Also do you have an HD tensioner? Thats a must have.

How tight is too tight??
After changing the belt to a smaller gator back belt ... The same slip was still happening. I then installed a manual tension adjuster ( not spring loaded). It is fixing the problem, I still had belt slip and the tighter I made the belt the higher up n the rpm range the slip would occur. I have titened the belt leaving a little more play left in the tension. In other words I still have about a 1/4 of an inch left before it feels like the is no give at all.
How much is too tight.
I'm concerned with wear and tear on the other components bearings ie: power steering & alternator.

Ps: boost still drops off around 6k but not as drastic as before.
