Default Help!!

I am trying to figure out what could be wrong with my rear end. I drive a 02 Z28 with 94000 miles on it and very mild upgrades. I was driving on the highway and went to pass a car and when I did my RPMs shot through the roof and there was no acceleration. My first thought was that it was the tranny but as long as I keep it bellow 3000RPM it shifts through all the gerars no problem but once I try to go over that it just revs. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

It sounds like the transmission, auto or manual?

You thought right. It's the transmission or your description is off.

Maybe pull the pan and check for metal. Replace the filter
