I guess I should buy a 991 carrera S then.
I actually agree with most of what he said about the C6.

Also the C6 is getting pretty dated. Interested to see how the C7 does in a year or so.

Watched the first 2 minutes and can already tell you the outcome.....Porsche can do no wrong over at Motor Trend. The Vette could dominate in every category, set a couple new records, then lose because the seats weren't as good. Oh wait, that already happened.

So theres $50,000 between the two. How is that a comparison? Of course its gonna have a cheaper inside!! But I bet the vette still does better on the track

I guess the same look Porsche has used for the last 30+ years isn't? I have been watching some old Top Gears when going to bed and I find it always funny when Clarkson talks about the "new" redesigned Porsche and he points out, it looks nearly 100% identical to what they did 30 years ago.

I wasn't talking about the looks, I was talking about the frame and the chassis.
It was designed in 2003-2004, it's almost 10 years old now.

This. I love Corvettes, but it sounds like this new 991 is a fantastic car in pretty much every way.

I read that article. At one point they actually complained because the Vette made too much torque down low.

 They weren't complaining, they were saying that the torque combined with the tires to make it sketchy when it's cold and wet outside. Did you miss the part where they praised the engine's powerband and said that it was the torque that allowed it to win the figure-eight?

Irunelevens, yea I read it but the rest of what I typed got erased lol. I saw that it was raining and snowing a little bit. Just thought it was funny that they even drove it in that weather.

Drove a 2012 911 and I was super impressed. The car will absolutely do everything you want it to do and instantly. The PDK transmission is so fluid and there is just no way you could shift faster. The car was truly amazing! That being said, I'm kind of a muscle car purist and I would still take the vette over the Porsche. First of all, the price tag on the 911 is ridiculous. Second, the vette is just plain faster. I don't care how much these rags try to make it seem close, it isn't! I've driven them both and the vette would put light years on the 911. The 911 is fast, fluid, and comfortable like a fine time piece, but the vette is just enough refinement and way more than enough performance!
I just wouldn't be ok with paying that much for the 911 and then getting the finger from some smart ass in his Z06 as he pulls away from me on the highway. Lol!

Light years? Exaggerate much?
