LS3 Swapped 240SX Cam Suggestions
Looking for some cam suggestions for my 240X with a F-Body T56. The engine is out of the car right now, and I'd like to do the cam swap before I put it in. Using stock manifold/TB.
The car will be under 2750 lb when it is all said and done.
I do not want to flycut, and I want to avoid a cam with aggressive lobes that would require really expensive valve springs (Comp 921).
A aggressive lope similar to the G6X3 would be phenomenal.
I plan to use a fairly tall final drive (3.6X:1), so low engine speed drivability is important.
This is not my daily driver, and I am trying to squeeze out as much power as I can.

I don't plan on using the G6X3. I just like the idle sound.
I want a diff geared taller because I am sure traction will be an issue with anything that is geared lower.

What tire are you running? 3.6 might not be as tall as you think. I'm running a 3.23 rear but with a small 23" tire it works out to the exact same as a C5 Z06 ratio
I'm running an custom EPS .222/.230 .596/.609 114+2 in my 2300 lb car. With any luck I can give you some feedback on how it drives this weekend. Sounds SICK, though.

I think the bigger question here is, what tire will YOU be running?
A sick-nasty lope is a requirement though.

I'm starting off with what I already have on there. 225/50/15 RA-1's. When my car was 210rwhp i couldn't break them loose from a roll in any gear. I have a feeling that will change with more than double the power but I'm hoping it'll hook up by 3rd gear. I might just run drag radials in the read if it's too bad.

I'm also worried about traction, but for now I don't even give it a second thought.

I haven't ran this cam personally but I have seen nothing short of great results from this cam which a quick search or visit to their website will confirm. They're getting close to 500 rwhp N/A with this cam and regular boltons all day which is the best I've seen. Recommended this cam to a friend with an LS3 Corvette but it's not installed yet. If I had an LS3, this would be my choice hands down.

Lowest performing car made 486 rwhp. Highest is 498 rwhp with an average of 494 rwhp. That's just with CAI, LT's and this cam. And still drives well with stock gears and makes decent usable torque.
