4500 is all I would recommend although 6K would have the blue tint you want.

Not sure if this will help but I have 8000K HIDs in my TA , I have 6000K in my DD G5 and they are allot more white than the blue 8000K`s , I went from the PIAA bulbs to HID`s and it`s deffinantly worth it BIG TIME ! BTW the fog`s are not HID.

5000k all around. About as pure white as it gets; not a trace of blue after warming up

I love the headlights, but did however just order 6000k for the fogs.

nichoLaS1, what kit do u have and where'd u get it?? thanks

Here's my 'recipe'

HIDs from VVME. btw there is no need to get the slim ballasts, there is plenty of room to mount them (save yourself a few bucks)

FOGS

1 x Standard 880/881/893 HID Conversion Kit
Output 35W
Enhanced Accessories: None
Color Temp. 5000K

http://www.vvme.com/hid-headlights/single-beam-hid-conversion-kit/880-881-893-hid-conversion-kit/standard-880-881-893-hid-conversion-kit

LOWS

1 x Standard 9006(HB4) HID Conversion Kit
Output 35W
Enhanced Accessories: with Relay Harness (some need it, some dont; depends on if your lights are flickering after installation. I never installed mine though)
Color Temp. 5000K

http://www.vvme.com/hid-headlights/single-beam-hid-conversion-kit/9006-hb4-hid-conversion-kit/standard-9006-hb4-hid-conversion-kit

Lenses for low beams

LMC Part # 36-0302
Qty x2
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.aspx?Page=63

if the link doesnt work, then in the search bar at the top of the website choose the following:
“Chevrolet” – “Pickup Truck” – “1988 thru 1998” – “36-0302”

That's everything you need to order. Good luck!

Yeah, its relatively cheap. Now keep in mind if you decide to go with projectors (aka the 'correct' way to do HIDs lol) it will be considerably more expensive.

Everyone will say how much glare hids make without projectors, blah blah blah.. Yes they will naturally make more glare, but as long as you aim them low enough, its not a problem. I've never had a single person flash their lights at me, and after installing them I let someone else drive my car so I know exactly how bright they are (from head on, in my rearview mirror, etc). I wouldnt drive with something that I deem dangerous to others safety.. To each their own, but I love my HIDs

It isn't much more money to do it with projectors than it is to do it the cheap ass euro/lmc housing way.
2000$ on a backyard transmission or 2300$ on a performabuilt?

Spend the extra 100$ and do it the correct way. Ricers put HIDs in halogen reflectors.

i highly doubt that ddm tuning and lmc housings are cheap or junk!!ive had them for awhile and havent had a complaint with 6k lows and fogs.the projectors look stupid imo.a real hid is where its at!!ddm tuning has them.
