Question fitting trashed if a line is etched on the sealing surface of an AN hose end?

I have a scratch on a AN hose end on the 37* surface from about 3 oclock to 5 oclock position. Is that hose end now trashed? do any local stores carry those seco seals?

They are summit brand fittings. I dabbed alittle 10-30 on the surface and the threads before installing. I have had to remove and install a few times to chase a leak somewhere and when installing this fitting i could hear a scratching noise upon tightening. I assume thats the noise. I know I didn't get dirt in there or anything when I installed it.

Get a new fitting from Summit. The fitting is easy to replace.

i guess all you can do is run it and see if it leaks, if it dont, then looks like you got lucky

Default Flaretite as well

You could try calling local hydraulic shops to see if anyone has any of your Seco seals or Flaretite rings. They are a pretty common seal in the industrial realm and I would think a local hydraulic shop would have either the seals or the JIC parts to replace the fitting. Might not be as pretty as blue anodized aluminum fittings. But it should work! GOOD LUCK!
