Default 1998 Camaro Z/28 Hard Top 6sp

Year: 2014
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro
Price: $8500
Mileage: 154000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): AL
Color: Black
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
5.7L V8 LS1 with Manual T-56 6 speed transmission
Rare hard top 6 speed...and once you drive one, you will know why I wanted one. It's lighter and its MUCH stiffer than a T-Top car.

$8500 cash. Not interested in trades.

Clean title in hand
154,XXX Miles (will change daily as I drive it daily)
FULL LOADED MINUS TCS
New tires
No leaks
A/C works
Gets 20mpg in the city
Terrific oil pressure. 40psi hot at idle.
The interior is nearly flawless One small rip on the back of the backseat. You would never know it was there if I didn't tell you.
All fluids were changed within the last 5K, including trans and rear end.
Rear end recently had clearances checked and new seals installed by Alabama Wholesale Tire
Alignment done by Alabama Wholesale Tire
New Gates water pump
Car had 90-105psi COLD COMPRESSION on all 8. All cylinders were within in 5%.

All aftermarket parts on engine have less than 5K on them.

This car is a blast to drive. It's a terrific sleeper...especially if you were to take the badges and wing off the car.

Any flaws that I could think of are listed in the pictures

Mods:

HPTuned
LS6 Intake
LS6 injectors
MTI Racing TB
BBK Longtubes and Y-pipe
3.73 gears
BMR LCAs
BMR lowering springs
LS7 clutch + LS6 master cylinder
Magnaflow muffler with turn down
Energy Suspension trans mount
Battery Relocation to rear wheel well
Hawk HPS pads
BBK Ripper Shifter
Jegster Adjustable pan hard rod

Appearance:
C5ZO6 Wheels with Nitto Rubber
New head lights
Powder Coated grill
SS Rear Wing
HIDs

I bought this car in Ft. Lauderdale in June and drove it home. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

The pilot bushing is going out. It causes the trans input shaft to rattle around sometimes. It also causes some trouble to get it to go into 2nd gear, but only at low load and low RPM. The way most people drive it, you will NEVER know it.

The rear end is noisy, but I had the clearances checked and it's just the gears.

The cruise control doesn't work. Since I would never use it, I never bothered to look at it.

As far as the exterior, I am not a big looks guy, but the paint is..14 years old. It has it's shares of light scratches. The SS spoiler needs to be repainted. From closer than 5 feet, it doesn't look good. I showed the one ding, which is in the driver door seal area. The clear is bubbling around the driver side window. The rear filler plate is not painted.
Otherwise, the car is incredibly straight.

Feel free to ask questions. Again, I will take trades plus cash on either end. All the parts are good parts.

Everyones thinkin it so Ill say it, Pretty nice car for mileage and year, but your not gonna move it at that price. Hardtop or not. Theres 60-80k mile 6spd cars on here 2 or 3 years newer for 500 more.

Thanks. It's tough to price these right as they are so few of them. That's definitely a consideration. But, it IS a cheaper alternative to paying that extra money to get fewer miles. It's actually the whole reason I bought this particular one. I saved a couple of grand on getting the higher miles. If the motor popped, oh well..at least I had the extra money in my pocket. But, it's been a champ.

I'd listen to offers.

Nah. No trades for 3rd-4th gen F-bodies. Would consider 4 door cars and classic cars. Plus cash, of course.
