Nitrous Oxide - How to retard timing on my new set-up?

Hey y'all I was hoping someone could help me on this.

Ok so my old set-up was my stock LT1 with the bottle and I was retarding timing using an MSD Digital 6-Plus.

My new set-up is still an LTx but this go around I'm running the 24x kit so I have LS coils instead of the opti and single coil. How do I go about retarding the timing on this new set-up since the coil driver is contained inside the coil itself?

I've spoke with MSD and they said that they don't make anything that can retard the timing conditionally for only when I'm spraying since I'm running the 24x/LS coils.

My dilema is I'd like to not have the timing built into the tune because I plan on driving the car on the street quite a bit and the size shot may be anywhere from a small 75 to start off with, all the way up to possibly a 225/250 later down the line and I'd like to not have to upload a new tune to the PCM each time I change the size shot I'm running.

The LSx guys use resistors but I cant recall how/where Im sure someone will answer your question If your still runnin a stock intake I think 200 is max unless youre runnin direct port & stand alone fuel system for nitrous

You wire a resistor in to the ground of the IAT, depending on what resistor you use it will tell the computer the IAT temps are off the charts, so you pick something like 200 degrees (which you IAT temps would never be) and in the tune set it to pull 6 (or however many) degrees of timing when IAT temps reach that number.

I don't care what anybody says that resistor is a pain in the ass and you have to have tuning software to do it. Plus you can't flip the change in timing on and off like a timing tuner. The LNC-2000 from Lingenfelter lets you flip between motor and nitrous timing and plugs right into the coil packs main harness and all it needs it power, ground, and trigger.

OP since you are running the 24x system you can use the LNC on it to pull timing.

I knew youd get an answer & didnt know about the lingenfelter pc or id have said that Sounds way better since its been explained LoL hope I dont have the opti curse on my build

Yes but you can't change it in 10 seconds with a pocket screwdiver like the LNC.

No splicing or anything. No laptop needed. Plus you get a launch controller out of it too.

FYI - we had several people damage the LNC adjustment dials trying to force the wrong size screwdriver into the openings so we now include a screwdriver.

Bought mine 1.5 months ago and didn't receive one? Is this fairly new?

Use the LNC or set it up with EFI live using the custom operating system. If you do not do your own tuning the LNC is the way to go. It removes up to 15 degrees of timing, has a built in two step, easy to install and has a 0-5 volt refference wire to varify its working. Ant the tech support and customer service is top notch.
