Generation IV Internal Engine - Newly purchased LY 6 computer and wiring question

Recently purchased a 2007 LY6 out of a 3500 series truck. The computer I got with it is out of a Pontiac G6. Also was to get a wiring harness from the truck to connect to the computer, but it didn't show up.

Will the computer work ??

is the ecu an e38? I doubt it'll work out of the box unless you get HP Tuners or EFI Live... and if it's not an e38 or similar ecu, it won't work at all.

how would I identify it?
