Well I have a friend that's about to purchase a turbo. The turbo that he is looking at is a Garret gt4788 with race cover. His set up is a built 383 ls1 with 317 heads and all other supporting mods, boost will be in the range of 15-18#'s yes we do knownthe heads are a limiting factor but will get swapped out for an other set... The car well see street time and occasional track time. So what A/R should he go with??. The turbo he is looking to buy has an A/R of .96 will that be to much backpressure? Or to laggy for his set up? Thanks

Oh side note: as of the intake, he has the victor jr intake + aarons elbow and 90mm throttle body

I Think the .96 will work perfect with 383ci auto trans for street and 1/4

I've see lots of member using the same turbo on 408ci no problems with 18-20psi
