Default 2002 Firehawk rear end swap,, AAM?

So I have a 2000 WS6 and I broke the rear end. I got a used one from a 2002 Firehawk and it says AAM and I was wondering if this was the optional differentials that the firehawks had and if it is what "special" about it?

you cant as your car is a 3 channel not a 4 channel, the tc reads off sesors near the axel ends for abs and tc. the 3 channel reads abs off the sensor on top of the pumpkin. You will need to install the reluctor wheel on the new diff to keep abs.

yeah what this guy said is correct
you got the wrong rearend

you can make a 3 channel rear work in a 4 channel car by swapping axles but it's not so easy to make a 4 channel work in a 3 channel car, you have to take out the diff and get one with the gear and then drill out the housing for the senor.

The only thing "special" is the AAM differential cover that is supposed to be stronger and keep it cooler.

Didn't the AAM cover and the optional Auburn defferential come as a package deal? Finding old SLP information is tough these days.
