ZR1 vs 408

ZR1 vs 408 i raced a ZR1 today he had just added a short throw shifter and brand new drag radials he is pullied and tuned runs race gas as well makes 6xx rwhp
my 408 is un tuned (cam only tune) 6k limiter
i didnt call him out he asked if anyone wanted to run and i was the only one willing he made about 5-6 hits before we raced so he could get used to launching the car
i didnt have a 28" tires anymore so my friend let me put his 275/60's on kept stock front 17" ws6 wheels 91 oct gas (full tank)
long story short he got me by 1.5 cars he has alot of top end but i think with a re tune and gears i will get him by 2-3 cars we'll see soon
ill try to get the video up soon its just of the finish line tho
ps:ZR1 doesn't stand a chance when i hook up the nitrous

try posting the video smok'nz. putting up pictures when you said you have a video. ??
I and the rest of the guys are gonna throw some BS flags out on you staying that close to that ZR1, we just want to see the video to know what really happened. With you on a 150 shot, THAT should be a good race with him in the low 600rwhp range. though on race gas with mods you mentioned he should be mid to high 600rwhp range.

easiest way to pst vids man is to just put it up on youtube, then post the youtube link in the thread. It's how I do all mine and it's dummy proof wich is good for me lol.

Lets say you have a strong 408 at 520 rwhp. He still is probably has 100rwhp and is lighter that you. Unless you have massive weight reduction your not going to keep up with a zr1 that puts down over 600. Unless he can't drive for ****.

408 11.5.1 cnc'd #243's custom cam 1 7/8" lt's fast 102/102 th400 4400 stall stock 3.23 gears only weight reduction would be no ac spare tire rear billit wheels suspension is spohn adjustable torque arm, lca's, sfc's
as for the tune it runs just fine 80% of the time (idle) 800 rpms the other 20% it bounces from 800-1200 running wot the tune is fine my cam only car made 42x rwhp 39x tq same injectors tranny intake/tb
i have ran several high 10 sec cars low 11's cars that have actually put those numbers down at the track i havent been to the track with this set up and my car sits right next to them with its cam only tune
our track opens next week so we'll see what it does might have a tune and nitrous by then
call it bs all you want it is what it is he is an experienced driver from what i hear i know he didnt want to race my buddies 03 cobra with a 3.6 whipple
