Default new cam questions

I have just installed a new toquer V3 cam, dual valve springs, pacesetter L/T and a tsp ory. When I start the car the motor shakes perty decent and I was wondering if it is just because it still needs a tune, or if that is how a cammed car is. Didn't know what to really except this is the first car I have ever modded. Thanks for the input.

as you drive it
the ecm will try to learn the cam
after driving for a bit

you will always get the best performance with a tune
for your mods to the car
yes i believe cams with a lope will shake a bit

i bet that thing screams for a tune

you sure you didn't crack a spark plug or have one of the wires come off?

Yeah it has a ses code, but I expected That. I have checked all the plugs and wires and evervthing looks good. Would you guys recommend changing the motor mounts to poly.Hopefully within a week or two it will be tuned.

i would suspect with the TSP torquer you would have some
shake with the lope
But if it was me i wouldnt worry much

get it tuned
and those poly mount plate wouldnt hurt to have
seeing your going to have alot more torque than your used too

back in the day we would weld chain link from the mounts to the frame
to minimize the twist LOL

It's going to shake regardless, how much depends on valve overlap and idle speed. With stock motor mounts and with it needing a tune it'll shake more.
