Default rear pass wheel movement?

Today I did my brakes and noticed the pass side rear wheel, after lug nuts tight and tire still off ground I could pull push the wheel/tire away from axle and there was a good amount of play in my opinion, maybe quarter of an in or more, is there normal? Car is 99 z28 with 6spd

Normal for c-clip rearend. However you likely had not yet pushed your brake pedal prior to noting this because doing it, would have clamped the rotor and axle a bit more tightly. Your fine.
