Default Magnuson MP112 on ls 4th gen fbody?

Just curious on who has ran this setup? I plan on going 408 or stock lq9 or lq4 and possibly running the mp112 supercharger. The kit says it runs 8# of boost and just curious of what type of compression ratio I would need to handle this boost safely. I'll also be running it with a performabuilt lvl 2 4l60e and circle d 2800 stall. Should I upgrade to an 80e? Any information will help and thanks in advance guys!

I ran one on my stock bottom end ls1. I had stg2.5 heads/ ms3 cam. Compression was about 10.8-1. Car put down 530/487. A 408 will be to big for a mp112. You would have to really spin it to make boost for that many cubes. Heat soke is an issue as well, especially when pushing it past its efficiency level which is anything past 10-11psi. Over all I really enjoyed that motor combo, it was a blast on the street

Way to much engine for a 112, you would be able to make almost as much NA. A 5.3l is about the most engine I like below a 112.

Yea, 408 and a d1sc is a better combo. That's what I did, just saving up now for the procharger

The long block itself was prob around 7500ish. But I put a callies crank in it did the trunion upgrade, etc. I bought everything from tsp. The only place I really saved money was from installing it myself. For being a fully forged motor built for boost at 10.2-1 compression, it still put down good power. It made 504/482 to the wheels. Im happy with that especially for being N/A.
