i bought a 95 z28 roller then i bought 96 lt1 motor with a wiring harness. and transmission..i had a guy to put the motor in. he put obd1 in it.everything in the car works. motor runs like crap.i have not drove the car .4 mile. i know very little about wiring . a guy that used to work on these cars is coming to check it this weekend. my question is.. what do we need to do to make a obd1 run the motor? he has access to a cheap scanner. bout forgot, motor has only 22k miles on it. which sensors have to be changed? i know95 is bd1 96 motor is obd2

Most cheap scan tools are obd2 and will not talk to an obd1 pcm.
Yes it will plug in to the 16 pin connector........and thats all.
Datamaster is the hot ticket for obd1.
