Default Is there a market for OEM style Firehawk hoods in FG and CF?

I have a chance to buy an OEM one to make a mold off of but wasn't sure if:

1) Someone else already made them...

2) Anyone would actually by them...

Thoughts?

Probably $700 in fiberglass and $1000 for Carbon Fiber.

I would be very interested. But, probably not a true firehawk hood, because it takes some bumper modification to make it fit properly on a regular V6/Formula or T/A front bumper.

I'd say similar to the Raptor hood from Suncoast, but in CF.

I had no idea it was that simple. Guess I never really looked into it, and just planned on getting a Raptor hood, because of the difficulty in finding a firehawk hood, let alone one in decent shape around the price of a Raptor hood.

You could modify it to fit on non-firehawk bumper covers so modification to the bumper wouldn't be necessary.
For that price, I think you'd be able to sell quite a few.

I think it definitely has potential, but the Superhawk being produced once again may affect the sales pool just a small amount as its a lil taller basically more aggressive hood along the same lines...

That being said, however.....I think your following within the community would support it

Id buy one for sure, as long as you can get them to fit like stock. Id like it to be an exact replica too, dont mind a little modification to fit.

Suncoast Creations make a Firehawk-style hood called "Raptor" that doesn't need modifications to the bumper for $760:

VFN has a version too with slightly different nostrils and a little more raised called "SMOOTHIE-Q" for $650:

I like VFNs. I think their really is a market for superhawk hoods as all thats now available is cheap shitty ebay versions. I dont believe Roger is still producing them. That doesnt help though since the hood you can buy is only a Firehawk. Just my .02..

It seems that most of the products that sell from 6LE are the ones that have no competition. There's already at least two similar hoods on the market. Probably wouldn't be a sound investment.
