Should I get the converter restalled for new cam
As the title says should I?
I'm using a Yank 3600SS, and can send it in for a free restall.
Previous cam was a TR224 224/224 .563/.563 112
New cam is an EPS 231/234 .617/.612 108+4
Will be degreeing the cam this time as well with an adjustable cam gear.
Wondering if I would really see any benefit going from a 3600 to a 4000? The car is driven daily when the weather is nice out.
Thanks for any input

Define "benefit". If you're talking 1/4 mile times, then yes you will, provided you hook. That cam would like the shift extension of a 4000 stall, and it would also improve your 60ft times.
On the street, you'll probably find that a 4000 would have you blowing off the tires all the time.

Well I plan to pull the trans out and install an sfi flywheel as well as send the trans to FLT to be upgraded to stage 5. Basically 1/4 times and its effect on the street is what I'm wondering.
Thanks for your input guys

Hey when you hit 45mph the convertors gonna lockup anyway. Now if you went from a SS3600 to a PT4000 you would see a big difference. But from a SS3600 to an SS4000 you probally won't see that much of a change. Are you planning ever spraying it?
