They won't be open for a few more weeks due to the concrete work, per Yellowbullet.

Cecil won't be open for a few more weeks from what I read. They have ripped up the track to make the first 700' concrete. They haven't poured the new concrete yet, but are working at it.

All god damn winter to mess with it and they dont start until two weeks after they are supposed to open. Makes so much sense.

For those who want to travel Atco is open.

Don't cars normally run faster at Atco opposed to Cecil?

Yeah sometimes. Atco ends up with a really low DA, sometimes a negative DA that allows for some faster than normal times. Lol that's why some people nickname it the downhill track.

If I'm not mistaken Cecil was once called the traction Capitol of the world, due to its concrete "launch" pad and the fact it's almost sea level. Also do they have any lights yet?since all the poles were stolen last year.

They are going to be pouring a lot of concrete, way too much to risk losing to bad weather. All it would take is a serious cold snap and the concrete freeze. When that happens, it is worthless....... Probably pouring over 500 cubic yards at about $90+/ yard. Not worth the risk IMO. Would rather have to wait than have a half assed track.

Lol when were the poles stolen? They still had lights when I was there in October.

They had new poles laying ,waiting to be used with new lights. They had problems with electric for the new light system, they were laying for awhile before being stole

Pulling all the barriers and clearing out the first 700 feet of track would have been a hell of a start to get out of the way.

Traction SUCKS period at cecil due to they use watered down hairspray to prep the track on most days and use the good stuff for their MAJOR events only.

Atco-hooks--shows 60ft times

MIR-REALLY hooks-- shows 60ft times

Crapitol-Hit or miss hook---shows 60ft times

Cecil-land of no hook----shows Reaction time woopty FN doo!

Maple Grove-more expensive, crazy on the the smallet of rules, less passes, bad track prep if any at all, no organization to how the lanes are to be ran----shows they suck reaction times

75-80- even more expensive to run T&T-drive through a rock climb to get back to the pits or lanes-----dont remember dont care

I agree with this except the Cecil no hook.. Friday night no hook Wednesday nights hit or miss Saturday/Sunday it usually hooks good but you'll pay for it.. And like you said woopty Fn doo on the RT being displayed

From the owner of Cecil:

"Sorry everyone but due to some unexpected delays in our resurfacing project we will not be opening this weekend March 30,31 or April 1. We are working on a plan for the Street Car Shootout that is scheduled for Sat. April 7th and will post it here and on CecilCountyDragway.com as soon as we finish. We are just as anxious as anyone to get racing and can't wait to hit the new surface - Jim Halsey"
