Default LS2 58 tooth wheel = 60-2?

Starting to piece together parts and research plans to swap an LS1 into my 2003 Z4. I need to feed the stock BMW computer with a crank signal so I can keep the factory gauges (and for emissions purposes). In reading, everything seems to say BMWs use a 60-2 crank wheel. I know the LS2s have a 58 tooth wheel, so is that the same (58 teeth + 2 blank spots = 60-2)?

*crossing fingers*

I heard it was the same thing. Heard being the key word here.

You can search, I made some posts in a Holley EFI thread and someone commented about the 58x and the 60-2 being the same thing. Maybe you can find it and pm the guy.

Which one? There are tons of "Holley EFI" threads on here.

Thanks

Make sure the BMW definitely runs the tach off the crank sensor input.

The vast majority of LS2 are 24x only the LS2 that came in the corvettes were 58x you need to verify this by looking at the color of your crank sensor to see if it is black = 24x and gray = 58x

Ok if you have a 58x in your trailblazer I stand corrected, but I still stand by my comment of the VAST majority of LS2 are still 24x

LS2 with E40 ECM is 24x (2005 Corvette, 2005-6 GTO).

LS2 with E38/E67 ECM is 58x (2007 onward).
