Default 01' WS6 possibly swapping to a Tahoe LTZ...opinions wanted!

I may have the opportunity to be getting my hands on a Tahoe LTZ either 2007-2011 which is a vehicle i've always wanted to get my hands on. As of right now I have a 2001 WS6 and its got 45k on the odometer.

Reason for possibly swapping is because in this time of my life, being in college, utility seems more practical right now than having a fast car... Being able to have a good amount of people roll with me and actually hear me in the car seems more important than having that mean *** WS6...

So anyone have any opinions on the LTZ Tahoe and second how big of mistake will I be making if I let go of the WS6?

Im sure answers will be a little biased considering the forum im on but wanted some outside opinions...

But I needed some outside opinions that don't know me personally.

Thanks!

If it's paid for keep it your MPG are going to be around the same so no gain in doing that.

I could understand if you said you had a baby on the way and you need more room. But your just talking about friends getting in the car ... If you have more then 3 people wanting to ride with you tell one of them with the bigger ride to drive and go in their car lol

But it's all up to you it sounds like your tired of the car so..... do what ever you think right.

Keep it and buy a truck or Tahoe

The '07 LTZ burns oil because of the damm DOD. You'll end up adding a quart or more per 1k miles.

The car is a 01' Pewter WS6 with blackbird strips... Car is 45,XXX miles on it.

Basically stock with the exception of a dmh cutout and a lid.

All pics are attached but their iphone pics... and not that great..

As a college kid, I saved up all the cash I made since sophomore year of highschool and put it in to a mutual fund. As time went on, the Mutual fund did really well and grown a lot, thus giving me this option. The LTZ would be black and yes it would be almost a straight trade with maybe $2000 extra

If it works out where it's not a bad move money wise, the Tahoe is going to be the nicer daily and a bad *** truck to have in college.

Keep the bird and buy a 02-06 cheap daily..

How often will you really have people riding with you to justify swapping?

The Tahoe is nice, but not having a toy would get old fast for me.

If the mutual fund is doing well don't take that money out. Let it continue to make you money.

I would keep the trans am...your friends can use their own car.

I'd never do that trade, your WS.6 is to clean and has too low of mileage. The WS.6 is practical its a 4 seater, if you can't hear close your cutout. The tahoe is going to get a lot worse gas mileage also, GM estimated 16mpg(city) but that's on a flat road with no accessories running, Car and Driver reported that they burned a gallon of regular every 12 miles. If i was you I'd take that 2,000 and buy a cheap 4 door daily off craigslist or better yet make my friends drive their own cars and buy yourself some heads and a cam for that beautiful car your mistreating.

^^ agreed, keep it, that's what I plan on doing when I get my taxes, get a cheap daily driver, since my ws6 is paid for. but hey, it's your choice, although feedback and opinions are good tools, it's what makes you happy in the end that counts.

All good points... I guess I'm just going through a phase... I was just looking for something more comfortable for the ladies, since the damn car is still freaking loud inside the cabin even with the cutout closed... Damn flowmaster catback I guess...

I know this goes off subject a bit but if I swap a stock muffler into my catback system will that work as a quick fix to make cabin quieter? (Given the cutout is closed)

My last z28 I ran stock muffler on full exhaust car with not cats, you couldn't hear it running!

Best option
