Will it hurt a used water pump to sit out of a car for a few months?
Like could the seals or o rings dry up at all.

Anywhere really. Any vendor's water pump gaskets will do the job. I'm sure ebay has some too. The dealership, or a local auto store even.

I meant the internal o rings, I have new installation gaskets for between the pump and block

I would think it would be ok, I mean they sit on the shelf for sometimes years at a time. How many miles you have? Maybe you should just invest in a new one while you have it off, that way you are good to go in the water pump category for awhile.

I ended up ordering a new one. Don't remember the part number off hand, but its ac delco, and the ls2 style I think
