Default bolt-on 01 ta m6 vs 392 challenger

01 ta m6 bbk long tube and y dynomax bullit with turn down. Slp lid ported maf and throttle body. Msd wires moser 12 bolt with 4:10s lca panhard bar subframe connectors. Weight reduction and a tune.

It was a 60-140 roll on race with a pretty even hit. Had a car and a half lead when i let off.

Car and a half. Havent had very many races worth trying here in lower alabama. I ignore most ricers and mustangs. Not sure what car is capable of only ran 1/8 mile best of 7.90@ 86 1.90 60ft with bad tires. Havent ran it since getting ws6 wheels with new continental Extreme contact dws tires.

Your numbers dont jive. My boltons run below is very typical of a full bolton LS1 fbody with a 1.9 60' time. doublecheck your slip and, for that matter, post it up as proof. ?

The 1/8 is sixty feet short of a true 1/8mile. I bought the car used not sure what else may be done to it. Has a fairly smooth idle stock redline. It.had pacesetter longtunes with dual x-pipe but a weld felled on the passenger side header and replaced with the bbks due to daily driven and kept scraping exhaust.

Any ideas what the extra 60ft may add to the time. Or what might be done to car to run like that. I have some local friends with a highly modded 35th z28 and a gto that keep asking what i have done to it.

Look at my slip and consider it to be yours. When I was same boltons as during that slip's run, I raced a ton of ls1 fbodies (most where at least lid/ LT headers/exhaust) and beat most of them, but all where damned close races. That time slip was in a couple thousand feet DA and I believe it "Corrected" down to a 12.6 in the 1/4.

I trapped 85mph in the 1/8th stock... Would kill to see a 7 anything. Car moves pretty well if that's true but I would expect 90+ mph given the mods and that et.

Oh well just trying to get an honset opinion from people of similar intrest. I not the guy who sand bags or holds et's or wont tell you what he has.

Would like to hear what sombody thinks may have been done to my car. My friends at the track seemed to be impressed with my runs and suggested this site for info.

it's got nothing more done then you see. some LS1 engines just ran alot better then others. Alot meaning a couple tenths and 2 to 3 mph higher then average. Seen it too many times myself to doubt it: especially when one has raced as many stock to bolton LS1 cars as I have.

I say a cam with a close to stock LSA. Maybe an ls6 cam. No way a bolt on ls1 is running 7.9x spinning. Or even beat up a 392. I had trouble with the one I beat. And my car has H/C (untuned at the time)
