What is the difference between the F1R and the F1X? Both are limited to 1300hp right?

The F-1X shares the same design strategy and high efficiency of the new F-3 series superchargers, with the following specifications:

F-1X
Base HP Range of NA Engine: 375-550 HP
Maximum Supercharged HP Rating: 1,300 HP
Maximum Airflow: 2,000 cfm
Maximum Boost: 38 psi
Volute diameter: 10.5”
Inlet Diameter: 5 inches
Outlet Diameter: 3.5 inches
Maximum Impeller RPM: 72,000
Internal Step-up Ratio: 5.40:1
Self-Contained Oiling: Yes
Reverse Rotation Available: Yes

F-1R
Base HP Range of NA Engine: 375-550 HP
Maximum Supercharged HP Rating: 1,300 HP
Maximum Airflow: 2,000 cfm
Maximum Boost: 38 psi
Volute diameter: 9.75”
Inlet Diameter: 4 inches
Outlet Diameter: 3 inches
Maximum Impeller RPM: 68,000
Internal Step-up Ratio: 5.40:1
Self-Contained Oiling: Yes
Reverse Rotation Available: Yes

I'll suspect everyone will be finding the new F-1X ends up making more boost and more power than the F-1R. The inlet air temps should be cooler with the F-1X when compared to the F-1R. Bob

With those dimension I would also suspect the same fit up and clearance issues of the F2 then, the size of the F1X is the same as the F2 then if I'm not mistaken and if they are saying they have bracketry to fit a F1X which if it in fact is the same size as the F2 I would run the F2 since it's hp levels are largely greater than the F1R/F1X

You are correct, you could go with the F-2. Bob

The bracket will work, but the inner fender well will need some trimming and the inlet and outlet will need couplers added that I will supply. I'm trying to find out exactly what interferes, when I find out I'll post it here. Thanks. Bob

There is a thread on Camaro5 with a pic where an F-1X is being used.

Thanks. Bob
