Default Will valve covers from a 5.3 work on ls1s?

Not sure if this is in the right place, but I just want to double check and make sure they will fit the coil brackets for a ls1 f-body.

if not use the truck brackets. so long as they are centerbolt if yours is a 99+ ls1 they will bolt on, do a cross on the coil brackets on GMpartsdirect or some other OEM parts retailer to see if the part numbers are the same.

Cool thanks. Do they need different coil brackets or were you able to use ls1s coil brackets? I'm also putting 243s on my 98. Also can the stock center bolt valve covers clear jesel rockers without spacers?

Yes I have 5.3 covers on the ls1 motor in my corvette. The stock ls1 coils fit just fine. The only thing that might be different is the number of PCV hoses on the covers. Depends on the covers. You should be able to make the hose config work. No idea on the Jesels.

I'm pretty sure you need valve cover spacers for the jesels...and you need a coil bracket bc on 98s the coils bolted directly to valve cover...you can get the brackets cheap used though

If they're center bolt valve covers they'll go onto ls1 center bolt heads. Your LS1 coil rails will bolt onto the valve covers. The only difference is the PCV hook ups.

Yeah I need to get coil brackets I just wanted to make sure coil brackets from a car will bolt up to truck valve covers, cause I think truck coils are different.
