Like the title states , what is the 1/4 mile time for anyones 2012 V6 Camaro Automatic in South Florida, or anywhere for that matter. Am considering buying one of these, but have not seen any 1/4 mile results on any performance website, nor magazine! Thanks for all replies!

I have no idea for stock time but I seen the sts v6 run a 13.5 all day. That was his second trip to the track and he has been trying to trade it for the ss for a while.. With that being said.. it would be wise to save and get the ss if your going for performance. The v6 wasn't made to go fast. I wouldn't second guess if they run high 15's. 300 flywheel hp... that's like 240ish rwhp pushing a 3800lb car...My just guessing numbers but that's an idea

low 14s if it hooks up.2010's & 2011's run low 14's in the 1/4 mile! What I would like to know is what the 2012 Camaro V6 Automatics run in the 1/4 mile. Out of all the LS websites nobody has posted any results.

Number 5 on the bolt ons only (V6) list is my friend's old car, I ran that one to a 13.7 on one pass.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61392I have looked over on Camaro 5 - 5th Gen Drag Racing 1/4 mile list and did not find any 2012's 1/4 mile times at all, as to why I am asking others that own STOCK V6's what their 1/4 mile times actually were. Your link is the same one I checked out and there are not any 2012's posted on there:

Oh ok, :thinker: I didn't realize that you were looking specifically for 2012s. :)
The only reason I'd sort of overlooked the 'model year' thing is because I honestly don't expect to see too much of that extra 11hp reflected in the track results...just as the 312hp 2011s didn't really seem to run any quicker than the 304hp 2010s.
But maybe.

For some reason there hasn't been much posted or written about the 2012's. I'm kind of surprised because I would expect the magazines to test the new FE4 suspension. I would agree that the extra 11HP wouldn't make much of a difference. The biggest difference is in the ECM. The 2012's are now using Delphi systems so they can be tuned by HP tuners. Also with the integrated exhaust manifolds, they are just begging for a turbo set up.

Thats because the 2010-2011 was just a re-certification...the output is the same/same motor.
The 2012 has a different design head with integrated exhaust manifolds. They also have different cams.
2012 v6 should be about .1 tenth quicker than previous v6 models all things equal due to the extra 11hp. Low 14's best case scenario. I doubt one will see a 13.9 stock but you never know I guess.

I ran a 14.2 with mine right after I left the dealership. They will run 14 flat but you have to be perfect with no traction control and slap shifter. Consistently its 14.2 which is damn good for a V6 and 4 seats.

I go to the Royal Purple Raceway in Houston quite often and the 2012 V-6 Camaros are running a consistent 14.3 with good drivers and conditions.
