So it was a little windy the other night with some strong gusts, I left to go to the store and everything seemed fine, it was about 11pm so it was dark, and on my way back I crossed over the top of a hill, when a 60 foot long tree get blown over then road, I slammed the brakes and ripped the ebrake but it had rained early so the ground was a bit damp, the car in front of me hit the brakes and pulled to the right, so intead of rear ending him I went straight and hope for the best, I managed to turn a bit so I hit all the branches and no the main trunk but it still did plenty of damage, apparently USAA doesnt have anyone working on the weekends so I filled out a claim online and Im currently waiting for a call, I hope since it was a weather releated incifent that they will waive my $1000 deductible.:hail: I attached some pics of the aftermath:( :bang:

You're going to be stuck with that deductible regardless. Good luck though, doesn't look too bad.

Well I had a buddy who had the same type of accident and they waived it for him, so Im hoping they'll do the same, but yea at least I didnt get hurt. I mostly pissed cause I bought a bunch of parts for the car then this happens the next night

That sucks man but good thing you have insurance to cover it.
One question though, why in the hell would you touch the E-brake? Trying to drift around the tree and other car? :drive:

Well USAA called me, apparently since the tree didnt fall directly on my car, it doesnt count as a "act of god", they're calling it a collision, which it was but c'mon, Im pretty sure a tree being knocked over my wind should count as a weather accident
