Default Has anyone ever fixed a BCM?

Mine randomly cuts out the head unit, windows, etc. I've been told it's a loose solder connection in the BCM.

Took me about 7 min.'s to remove the unit from my car last week... Shouldn't be too much of a problem... & if you do decide to replace... You might want to check them out online... If you do go that route, just make sure you buy it "NEW"... it may save some time and hassle (such as doing a VATS bypass..) Just my 2 cents...

i did this repair on my camaro using the writeup from camarozone. the hardest part was just getting it out. it LOOKS like you can get it out with just removing the lower dash panel... but you really have to remove the kick panels too.

while i had the BCM apart, i also disabled my automatic headlights.

I did it about a year and a half ago, just for ***** and giggles. A friend of mine was having trouble removing his BCM after removing the panels, so I walked over to my car and had it out and soldered, and by that time he still hadn't gotten it out lol. Took me about 15 minutes, including time to heat up the soldering iron.
