I have a bendpak "pit lift" that is open in the center its basicly the same thing but not connected in the middle i bought it used for 500 bux it works awesome because u can work on the middle of the car to unlike the one u posted id check out your local craigslist and automotive tool suppliers if any one has a used one i can do tranny swaps with a floor jack apaptor no problem made workin on the car much more enjoyable sine im used to havin full size lifts at my work

Honestly i think so but have not i pull um out the top i did have my th400 on an otc tranny jack with dipstick tube clear no problem u can also put 2x4 or 4x4 blocks under the sfcs once your lined up on the lift to jack it with a jack and slip the blocks in. If you were gunna buy it new id suggest a maxx jaxx if u cant find the bendpak used for less then a grand

I those lifts aren't worth it as the main reason I would want a lift is for working under the car. We have one at the body shop and its good for raising the car to take bumpers off and getting side skirts up to eye level and stuff but the MaxJax seems to be right up your alley for what you need.
