Question about Stage 1 vs. Stage 2 heads
I am getting a set of Stage 1 heads at a REALLY good price. What are the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2? Should I get the S1s made into S2s? What would be the differnces in HP? Would i be losing a lot? I have all the typical bolt ons LTs, etc. B1 cam (221/221 .558/.558 I believe are the specs). Is it worth to upgrade or spend the money elsewhere if money is tight? Thanks for any input / advice.

For what it's worth, flow numbers would be a bit of help. If not properly done, some Stage 1 heads can flow less than stock <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> On the other hand I've also seen cars make way more power than should be expected. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

More info is needed. Who's stage 1 heads are you getting and which stage 2 heads do you want to compare to? There is no set standard for what S1 or S2 is!
