Default Local turbo for sale, need quick advice if good for my build

Goal is to be a streetable mid 9sec car.
372ci forged lq9 9:1 cr with l92/l76 top end, Th350, 12-bolt. Cam is 232 234 .595/.576 115+3

Turbo is for sale locally for $650 brand new in box, Borg warner s400/475 75mm 1.32ar t6

I know nothing about turbos...... I just want to know if it will get me well into the 9's if everything else is done.

You would be hard pressed to make low 9's with that turbo. Its a good turbo, but not large enough to get you in the 9's, I think it would end up running out of breath. keep your eye out for at least an 88mm turbo, a pt88 or something alike. Dont fret about missing out on the deal, its descent but you can find a new s475 for $700 all day long.

It will go 9's@145 if the car is under 3500lbs all day long. We went 9.9@142mph with the same compressor wheel in a 4000lb car. And that was with the 82mm turbine.

I would buy it new from FI for that price though.

i am running that exact turbo behind a bone stock lq9 (w/230 230 cam and ls6 intake, th350) and went 5.85@118 the past weekend (translates into a VERY low 9 second pass), granted this is in a fox, but it's still got a/c a 10 point cage, and a lot of other stuff, its not super light

x2, reading the first post, i was gonna post this, lol.

When that becomes to small, you send it back to Forced inductions for the upgrade to the S88

But, like he already said, thats a price you pay from FI and know its brand spanking new. Offer him 575 for it.
