So as of 2 days ago I am again a WS6 owner, a 1999 30th Anniversary. The car is in crazy good shape for have 72,315k on the clock. The interior is flawless and the exterior is as well, factory paint and very few rock chips on front bumper. My question is the car has had the reproduction stripes put on it and the only original part of the stripes is on the truck portion under the spoiler the rest is a reproduction kit. Should I put the factory stripes back on it or take it to my paint guy and have him paint the stripes on??? Will painting them on kill the value of the car??
Thanks
here are some pics of it

I think you are safe either way - you're in that zone where your miles give you room to do mods without hurting the value. Personal preference, I'd go with the paint. Had a buddy who did his 30th SS stripes paint and they looked amazing, much better than the vinyl and stayed nice under a clear coat.

Is this the car that was just on eBay? Looks freaking awesome!! I just picked up a 30th this week as well but not in the condition that yours is in. Got it real cheap in my opinion but I have to get my rims redone. Do you know who the previous owner had redo those rims? They def look darker then factory but in good way! Congrats

My God, I love that car!
Painted stripes would prolly be the best as long as the paint used will match the two colors of he stripes.
I've thought about painting the stripes on my CE, but I will most likely keep them decals.

I'd paint them on.

I got the same issue. I just picked up my 30th anniversary last October and the hood stripes are faded. I've been searching for stripes, but I could never find the factory quality ones that did not cost an arm and a leg. I never thought of having them painted on!! For the price I found the "gm licensed stripes" painting them is probably even cheaper!
Also-- I'm with Trans Damm any idea where the wheels were repainted? I've found 1 place that does it but I guess the blue get a purpleish tint to it? Or that's what they told me at least

Still interested in the wheels. Any info on how they were painted?

The factory wheels are cleared with a clear that is tinted blue...thus the anodized look.
