D1SC procharger got quiet not sure why I have a d1sc on a 99 transam 6 rib kit 3.4 pulley 8" crank and am trying out the extra idler (poor man beltwrap kit) original by pass valve and all of a sudden the blower doesn't make any noise no whistle, whine... Nothing but still making boost and pulling vacuum. I used to be able to hear over everything... Any ides on why or what happened would be great I'm lost

Both the rattle and whistle are gone unless I go to move the car and rpms drop or when I shut the key off other than that it sounds like there is no blower at all

The rattle could have been the belt flopping around, this causes a constantly changing tension and as such chatter in the SC gears.I had this happen on a D1SC also,it was caused by a belt with a failed rib, made it much much more noticable.
