My engine came with a 4L60E & harness.
The harness was sent out to be modified for standalone.
I chose to sell the 4L60E and replace with a Keisler T5, which for our purposes, is the same as the T56.
Most all of the 4L60 related wires were stripped clean.
You'll still need the reverse lights, speedo (depending upon what kind of speedo...mechanical/electronic), and whether or not you want neutral-safety.

So you are saying I can strip the existing harness of unused 4l60 wires using a gm wiring diagrahm? reprogram the pcm? If I can save some money by using the existing harness I'll do it....PSI sounds great but i am on a budget.

Yes you can.. You really don't need to have any thing wired to a Manual trans, but it helps, But it is an easy task to add the wire/pins.

Reverse Light switch = Just wire to your cars reverse light harness.

CAG = delete it, don't need it. Plug the port with a oil drain plug.

Reverse Lock out = would be hard to shift into the rail without it, but you can and other do it, Just wire a switch/button to activate it. (I used a Line Lock button). Or you can have the PCM activate it. But you need other input for the PCM to do that. (Brake, VSS)

VSS = Can get away without it. I don't use it. But it would be simple to wire it up from the 4L60E (if anything) and would be better if you have it. (its a Do as I say, Not as I do thing).
