118mph is a tad bit lower than my last motor did. 123mph out a H/C/I/E Camaro. Full weight 3540lbs. That 402ci isn't running to par if your 118 trap speeds are pulling him. I have a 402ci in my Camaro and I trap just under 130mph in the 1/4.

There is a guy around here that has a 408ci with stock headers, exhaust and stock LS1 heads and his car still runs 10.80's at 124-125mph which is enough to have a solid pull on your car.. Your buddy may have tunning issues with his car or just can't drive for ****.. OR he might be bull shitting on the cubes of the motor in the car..

My car trapped 118 about about 8 months ago shortly after it dynoed 390rwhp. Ive since redone the exhaust, intake and ud pulley and redynoed it but havent made it back out to the track. Not saying my car is a freak or anything just stating facts. The gto is heavier and is still running stock gears which could also be affecting the results

He should still rip the freaking paint off your car!! He's got 40+ ci on you not to mention a built motor vs a stock motor!! Come on man!! Were not completely stupid!
