Default So I saw an interesting car on the way home yesterday

I thought it was some kind of new Maserati or something.
On occasion I see a Modena, or Gallardo, or 430, etc but I had no clue what it was. On Rt2 Concord turnpike.

Fisker-Karma

It's an electric car but it does use a turbo ecotec to power the generator. Anyways, very unique, certainly a niche vehicle, but tough not to stare. The one I saw was red. Guess there is a dealer in Norwood.

Base is $102k

Elec motors put down over 400tq to the wheels, instantly. It's not particularly great at any one thing, but you gotta appreciate the ingenuity and imagination of people who build these kind of machines. Not something you see everyday. There are a few reviews online from reputable sources. I also thought how it was cool they use some GM stuff in there too as well as building them from the retired GM plant (says wiki).

They say that only make 15000$ off each car which sound right considering the law of large numbers and the inital cost divided by the numbers of vehicles produced.

Sucker is heavy, 5k plus but due to 22 batteries, that is most of the reason.

They're getting some bad press right now due to some weird issues they're having. It's a gorgeous car and I hope they're able to work out the problems because it's pretty embarrassing right now.

It's tough for new car makers, I'm relieved Tesla has had much better luck and can't wait to see a Model S on the road.

Really cool looking car, reminds me of the Porsche Panamera with the four door "coupe" look. Gotta love the ambition to build something like this, it's nice to know that there will still be bad *** cars on the road after we use up all the dead dinosaurs
