Default Cooling setups on Boosted LS1 ? driven on the street

whats your cooling setup on your boosted ls1s ? i have dual Spal fans, one pusher 10" and a puller 14" on a griffen 31" radiator and cruising on the fwy is fine but once i get off and cruise city streets for a while it starts to heat up. After it warms up, two consecutive street dig runs it basically will not stay cool. I recall seeing a turbo camaro in TX2k11 and in the texas heat. how does it keep cool ? I'm about to chop the front end off and put some OEM taurus fans or something.

31x19 griffin radiator here with dual 2500 cfm flexalite pullers doesnt over heat in the summer. From what I gather pushers aren't worth a **** in the heat

fbod I assume? I have found that getting the right fans with shroud makes the difference if it will cool while driving. How are you fitting a 31" radiator? I have the 15X27.5 griffin. I had problems until I wrapped my pipes, got a turbo blanket and built a shroud with two 10" zirgo pullers. I had to make it fit but you may not be able to do two pullers.

I'm running the same griffen as most on here that stand up the radiator. After trying many different fans I took some measurements and went to the junk yard.
I ended up with dual 10 inch fans in a nice shroud from an 02 saab 93 turbo. On the saab they were pulling through a rediator, condenser, and a large intercooler. I wired them up with the stock wiring and they work great. I had to do very little work for them to fit on the griffen rad. I haven't used my ac yet but with out it on still pulling through my condensor they work awesome.

Are you running a shroud now.if not that will cure the problem.for sure.this forces all the site to get pulled with the fan.I would get rid of the pusher and run a single 16 with a shroud.

Stock fan works great. Just stood the radiator up and plenty of room.

I am in a fox body w/a super restrictive lx front clip, running a/c and a 4" intercooler, I use a 3" double pass radiator and a 3.8l taurus fan, keeps it cool.

If you run too little timing at idle and cruise it will run hotter than it needs to, make sure your timing is high enough at idle/cruise.
