Default Vortech Supercharger

Has anyone installed one of these vortech superchargers before? What kind of power gains did you get?

Yes, I love vortech. Great company to deal with. Try calling kurgan motorsports in braselton ga. They are sponsored by vortech and can usually give you the best deal in the country. The number is 770-708-7223. Great guys to deal with and ship anywhere in the country.

Thanks for the info. Do you have one of there supercharger set ups on your car? How did it perform?

I'm running a stock rebuilt L98 from acdelco. I've only got 20,000 miles on it since therebuild and I don't really want to tear in to the motor again since its alreadyrunning well. I have some ceramic coatedhooker headers, high flow cat, and flowmaster cat back. I've also got a bowtie overdrives level 2700r4 with a 2200rpm stall converter.

If you keep it on a lower boost level and make sure it has a good tune and you will have no issues. If you want to do more boost id suggest a meth kit or intercooler. Ive used vortech a lot and they are great about the warranty and helping people. It will perform very well.

Yeah, thats what I was worried about. Its not like I have a forged motor or a 4 bolt main block. I'm still running a cast rotating assembly with the 2 bolt main block. When I get some money saved up I think I will go that route. First I wante to port the plenum and get some aftermarket intake runners and base. I'm running a 52mm throttle body now.

I have a non forged bottom end and am fine till about 12 psi without a intercooler. Blower makes the car dun. Im gonna order one for a carb setup too for a new project.
